At J. Fortin Yorkies, nothing is more important to us than the health and well-being of our pups, and we take every precaution to ensure that our AKC certified Yorkshire Terriers are placed in caring homes with a clean bill of health.
All of our pups receive a thorough examination from an independent veterinarian at 8 weeks, including their first round of shots, a fecal examination, and their health certificate, and arrive with a Full One Year Guarantee and Royal Canine Puppy Pack with proven information on feeding schedules and house training advice.
In order to ensure the absolute health and safety of our Yorkie pups, we do not ship our puppies out of state, nor do we separate our pups before 10 weeks so that they can enjoy optimum development and socialization before entering their new home.
Our primary goal is to place our Yorkshire Terrier puppies in loving, caring environments, and reserve the right to withhold a puppy if we feel the perspective home is not a good fit, or if the pup is selected for our AKC certified breeding program.
Adults are sometimes available for forever homes. We will be retiring some yorkies. We are very picky where our retired dogs go to. We prefer and will look to place them in homes with older people, semi-retired with established routines.
Note: Our dogs are not available for free. Even our retiring dogs have value, and we charge $400-$500 for a rehoming fees--this price is up to our discretion. . This covers the spay/neuter and the dental that they have done prior to being available to a forever home. IF THE FIRST WORDS you say are "Will you take less", please shop elsewhere for your next pup.
